“Can Internet market your services to the world?”
This is the question that I used to have but I have learned how to optimize the power of Internet to market my services to the world 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Where can you find such a great sales “person” and at such low costs?
Time really flies. Looking back 8 year ago when I started my own business, I don’t even know about sales and marketing when I first started my own training and consulting business. At that time, I thought with my knowledge and many years of experience, I can set up my own business. So, act with my courage and naivety, I just jumped in and started my own training and consulting firm.
First thing that a new entrepreneur always worry is to have your own products or services that you can sell. I spent close to 9 months time developing my training program and consulting service that I can provide for my clients. Needless to say, after working so hard and come up with a good quality product, I only realized that I need to sell my product and services. But my problem is I don’t know anything about Sales and Marketing. So, only then, I realized that even if you have the greatest product in the world but if you do not know how to sell or market it, nobody will buy from you. Thus, you don’t have any business at all.
This challenge triggered me to start my journey in search of sales and marketing strategies and tactics that I can use to excel my small business. And, I’ve gone through ups and downs during this journey and I also learned that most during these last 8 years. I have a lot of time and money learning about all types of marketing strategies from both online and offline world. When I first started, I only focus on the local market within my own country in Malaysia. Then, 4 years ago I decided to grow internationally and I stumble upon Internet marketing and I have put in a lot of effort and at the same time experimenting a lot of different internet marketing strategies. 4 years ago all my business leads came from offline marketing strategies and today almost 80% of my business leads actually come from the internet. Isn’t that amazing? And, furthermore, I have expand my consulting service business to more than 10 countries now.
Today, I am creating this blog to share and hopefully provide guide for entrepreneurs in the service business on how to market their service through online marketing.
